A unique example of extraordinary high productivity in Copper-headed racer Elaphe radiata is described - during a year were received 9 clutches of eggs out of which 100 snakes have hatched. There is also data on early maturation of this species (at the age of 10 months).

Aspects of the biology of Rhynchophis boulengeri in the wild and in captivity are presented. Breeding under captive conditions and rearing of juveniles are discussed. The results allow to assert that this species can well be maintained in herpetoculture, and it seems possible to establish a captive population which permits to preserve the gene pool of this rare species.
Предоставляются аспекты биологии Rhynchophis boulengeri в природе и в неволе. Обсуждаются разведение в условиях неволи и выращивание молодых. Результаты позволяют утверждать, что этот вид можно успешно содержать в герпетокультуре, и кажется возможным создать популяцию в неволе, которая позволяет сохранить генофонд этого редкого вида.

A complete annotated list of all the species of Boiga genus is presented.

Results of investigations of the supposedly rare, but actually merely extremely secretive viper, Azemiops feae, are summarized. Its preferred microhabitat in the mountainous regions of northern Vietnam is described. The particular husbandry conditions essential for this snake are described, and observations on its mating behaviour are quoted.

Data on the reproductive biology of nine species of the Caucasian representatives of Vipera genus, received in the laboratory conditions in 1999 - 2003, are given in the article, and their comparative analysis is carried out. The main attention in the work is paid to such aspects of the reproductive biology as the interval between the end of hibernation and first mating, the duration of period of matings, the duration of copulation, the duration of gravidity of females, the number of newborns in a litter, the potential of breeding, inter-specific hybridization.
В статье приводятся данные по репродуктивной биологии девяти видов кавказских представителей рода Vipera, полученные в лабораторных условиях в 1999 - 2003 г.г., и проводится их сравнительный анализ. Основное внимание в работе уделено таким аспектам репродуктивной биологии, как промежуток между окончанием зимовки и началом спариваний, продолжительность периода спариваний, длительность копуляции, продолжительность беременности самок, количество новорожденных в выводке, потенциал размножения, межвидовая гибридизация.
