The most nice, fluffy and sociable guinea pigs of Tula and Tula region

All began on the 10th of October when by 5 o’clock to Exotarium came guinea pigs who wanted to take part in the exhibition “Super-guinea pig of Tula”. The owners of the guinea pigs worried most of all, and they were smoothing disobedient fringes of their beloved pets. But not everybody was able to become one of the 16 finalists: a serious veterinary doctor was controlling the health condition of the participants, and the selection board was examining the condition of the hair, colour of the skin, in general, it was searching for a complete accordance to the breed. And in the result the most pure-bred and unusually coloured guinea pigs were selected. Only during 2 days, Saturday and Sunday, the visitors could admire these beautiful animals, and vote for a participant whom they liked most. And the winners became known! Though of course everyone won! And everyone received prizes, the gifts for guinea pigs were presented by the shops “Good for animals”, “Comkord”, “Cat’s house”; and for the owners of guinea pigs – by Exotarium and the magazine “TV 7” The following guinea pigs were awarded with the diplomas of the Laureate of the exhibition: № 21 Pusja № 16 Cocos № 9 Pumponchik № 15 Pukh № 3 Agata and № 10 Sapphira №7 Murzik № 19 Gera № 13 Shushundra № 5 Fox The participant N 17 Alf did not get a sufficient number of votes to take a prize-winning place, that is why he was awarded with the diploma of a laureate. But the magazine “TV 7” supported it very much, and he received a separate prize from this magazine. A real fighting took place for the prize-winning places. The situation with the first place was unexpected. Rubin was a leader according to the results of the first day, the participant N 22 Felix collected nearly the same number of votes dropping behind only for several votes, but already beginning from the middle of the second day of voting, Felix took the lead, and he collected 158 votes, and occupied the 1st place! And still the main winners became the favourites of the judges the opinion of whom was different to the opinion of the visitors. The chairman of the selection board Svetlana Sherbakova: Thank you to the participants, the sponsors, and people who voted for the guinea pigs, to all those who took part in this exhibition!
Only a couple of votes were not enough for the participant N 2 Rubin to win the second place, and he is awarded with a diploma for the 3rd place. 120 visitors voted for this guinea pig. 
The participant N 8 Caesar, the winner of the last year, collected 122 votes and occupied the second place.
“Selecting a guinea-pig favourite, we had to take into consideration the condition of the guinea pig and accordance to the breed, that is why our choice is different from the choice of the visitors who voted. It is difficult to compare children and adults, that is why we made two nominations among the favourites of the judges: juniors – guinea pigs up to 1 year and adults – guinea pigs from 1 year up to 4 years. So, the favourite among the juniors became the participant N 11 the guinea pig Pusya.
We could not select a favourite of the judges among adult guinea pigs, because this time we had three guinea pigs who were in accordance with the breed in an ideal way, these are Shushundra N 13, Felix N 22, and still, after a long discussion, the judges selected a guinea pig of one of the most rare colouration – Lelya N 1”.
