Young artists of Russia, Germany and Czechia have supported the European carnivores too
9 July 2009
All that began during cold autumn of 2008 when the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums declared
2009 - year of the European carnivore. Tula Exotarium has suggested to organise competition of children's drawings, and not of simply local value but rather international. Competition has been declared in the beginning of January in Tula Exotarium
(Russia), the Nurnberg Zoo
(Germany) and Zoological park "Fencing"
(Czechia). Someone was independent, someone with support of teachers, - all children worked the whole 5 months! In May each country has selected the best drawings from more than 300 that were brought too the zoos. Then the Czech and German works have arrived to Tula where official opening of an exhibition on June, 9th has taken place.

Day of opening has been chosen not casually: on June, 9th - the International day of friends. Here, actually, also the sense of all this competition is covered. While seeing works of children, you will understand it. Drawings are fine - some by the naivety, some by professionalism … But, in general, the impression remains such, that sometimes even blood runs cold, and a thought strikes in a head: «How can people destroy such beauty!?».
Wolves, bears, the lynxes, each of the heroes drawn by a pencil, gouache, a pastel, as if asks silently: «Let's live amicably …» and you cannot keep silent in the answer …

It would be desirable to address to all and everyone: Come, look, be inspired and support this campaign! The exhibition in Tula will last till the end of June, then the drawings will go to Germany and Czechia, then all finalists will receive certificates on participation in competition and so in the
campaign «Year of the European carnivore».
On the exhibition end you can see all drawings of participants of competition
on our site .
