There are mentioning about these animals in different cultures. Frogs and toads are characters of fairy-tales, myths and legends, songs, poems and other kinds of art. All sides of interaction between humans and amphibians were presented at the exhibition. The stands of the exhibition described the attitude to frogs and toads in different countries and cultures, using of amphibians in science and medicine. The photo-exhibition “Monumental frogs” presented to the visitors a large number of photographs of the monuments which were made by humans in honour of different frogs. Also “Handmade frogs” were presented at the exhibition – the figurines of amphibians given by our colleague Dr. Nikolai Orlov from the Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (St. Petersburg). During the week-end children together with their parents were making different hand-made articles of amphibians: for example, a jumping frog – origami, an appliqué-salamander, plasticine toad, and also they were paining pictures with the amphibians which they liked. An amazing world of amphibians and their contribution into the development of the mankind made many people change their attitude towards these creatures.
