Tula Exotarium and “company of mothers” present a photo-exhibition “Growing at the Zoo”

17 March 2010

"All of us were trying very much, and we hope that you, our respected visitors, will also like it!"From the 17th till the 28th of March an original story from the person of mothers and children about the work of Exotarium with young children in photographs will be presented. If your child is younger than 3 years of age (or if you are only planning to become parents), in this case for sure it will be interesting and useful for you to visit this exhibition. Here you will see with whom children and their mothers get acquainted, which creative work they are doing, which games they play, in general, how the studies are organized, and the comments of the parents will be an addition to the general picture.

It is so great to get acquainted with a huge turtle all together!Margarita Denisova, the specialist in teaching methods and one of the teachers of these studies, is telling about the making ready for the photo-exhibition:

“The idea of such unusual exhibition appeared when very active parents began to attend our courses, who founded a kind of a club of young mothers – “a company of mothers”. They attend our studies regularly, nearly without missing the studies, they always have a very positive and enthusiastic mood. When I got acquainted with them in a better way, in December 2009 I offered to them to organize a photo-exhibition. They welcomed this idea, and practically immediately we began our photo-sessions. Svetlana Shcherbakova, a methodologist, helped us a lot in this, she is making these studies so interesting for mothers and children, a special thanks to her for the photographs for the exhibition! Because the most complicated objects for photographing are animals and children. And we were having a double difficulty: the children were turning and fidgeting, the animals were trying to escape or crawl away all the time, in general, we made so many photographs, so many efforts, and so much patience was needed... The main thing is that in the result we received bright and nice pictures!

But our main task was not only simply to make photographs. The parents and children were making frames for these pictures with their own hands. They were using different technologies and materials (macaroni, plasticine, cereals, shells, sand, etc). In the result all visitors who wish can see now our mutual creation.

Alexei sincerely hopes that the turtle will eat a rubber flower.Nikita is glad to greet the tree-frog by shaking its paw.
Darina is in delighted to see the pimples of the gecko.Bogdan is interested to touch the cock’s comb.
Nikita decides that it is necessary to take the skink away to his home.Svetozar and the pythons are watching each other’s tongues.Dasha is taking a serious decision, if she should feed the rabbit with the apple.

Of course, it is a pity that we do not have much space, naturally, we would like to show in a wider way what we are doing and how the lessons are organized. In any case, it seems to me that all our visitors will like this exhibition, because everyone of us was a child some time ago:-)”.
