Day of snakes is celebrated in many countries till today. For example, in Japan once in 60 years this day is celebrated in a very wide way! In ancient times in Russia snakes’ festival was also widely celebrated, but it was forgotten in modern time. Tula Exotarium which has the largest in Russia collection of snakes restored this good tradition, and for the first time “Day of snakes” was held in Exotarium in 2007.

Увидеть и потрогать множество змей?!On the 25th, 26th, 27th of June an exhibition “Kaleidoscope of grass-snakes” will be opened at Exotarium, on it you will get acquainted with numerous, diverse and unusual relatives of a common grass-snake.

On the 26th of June from 12.00 till 17.00 the “Travelling around the world of snakes” is waiting for you, as well as getting acquainted with a smooth snake, king snake, “ball” python and many others. The Snake, Vasilisa the Wise, Hobgoblin, Traveler Pu and the herpetologists of Exotarium will demystify the myths about snakes and will tell you a lot of interesting things.
