- It is distributed on Madagascar island;
- Longevity is up to 2,5 years;
- One of the largest cockroaches in the world: the average size of a female and a male is 60 and 55 mm, respectively. In some cases specimens can attain 10 cm in length.
- On the perimeter of the body of cockroaches there are small openings (spiracles), through them the insect releases air and hisses. Whistling plays an enormous role in the community of cockroaches. This is their means of communication and protection.
