  • It is distributed in the central-eastern part of Australia.
  • The life span is 4-5 years.
  • They received their name because of a large gular sack which in males during the breeding season has a dark colouration.
  • Males actively drive away strangers from their territory, having warned at first by shakings of the head. The harem of the male always has several females, and the strongest female became the main one. These lizards are often kept at human houses.
