Children Zoo

Beginning from 2005 during the summer period the Tula regional exotarium houses the children’s zoo. It became the rest area in the Zarechenskiy district for parents with children from the whole city.

During the stay in the territory of the contact zoo visitors can interact with tame animals. These are pets (lap rats and rabbits, guinea-pigs, lamb Kathy, goat Borka) and exotic nurslings (one of the rarest and beautiful turtles – radiant, blue tongue skink, huge spitting Madagascar cockroaches, nice leopard geckos, the biggest toad ága, the brightest milken snake). Our guests can not only see dumb animals here but also listen to the telling about them during which they can feed and stroke our pretty animals. Visitors also get brief information on how to keep their own pets.

This is a unique chance for city dwellers to make acquaintance with the animal world so close. Such communication enables children to elevate their mind, to expand their vocabulary, to exercise memory and brains as well as inculcates the responsibility for the environment.

And after such interaction with amphibia (a toad), creepers (a snake, lizards) many people feel their negative attitude to these animals disappear.

In the contact zoo you can also have a snack at the snack bar and sit for some time while the children are jumping on the trampoline.
